This porcelain tea cup and saucer was produced in England by Doulton Burslem in the 1890s. The saucer has a diameter of 4 5/8 inches and the cup is 2 1/8 inches high. The set is decorated in impressionist style. Turquoise chrysanthemums float on a teal blue ground with tiny gold leaves dotting the surface. It is very artistically hand painted and has a mysterious effect. The interior of the cup, well of the saucer, rims and handle are gilded.
