Antique Copeland Demtiasse Cup & Saucer Little Gem

This porcelain demitasse and saucer was produced in England by Copeland around 1891. It was produced especially for the London retailer Daniell on Wigmore Street. The saucer has a diameter of 4 inches and the cup is 1 ½ inches high. It is made of fine bone china. The cup shape has 16 panels and the rims on both pieces are scallops. Each piece has an emerald green band that is accented with intricate raised gilding. This green enamel has a luminous glow that changes with different lighting. Continuing into the center of the saucer and bottom of the cup, a delicate fern pattern in gold encircles each piece. There is additional beaded gold trim and dentil gold trim on the rims. The set glistens in light as if it were jeweled. CONDITION: Excellent
