This compass was probably made by Francis Barker, a firm that specialized in nautical instruments. It has a prefix B, indicating it was sourced from Francis Barker. This compass is in excellent condition and measures approximately 3 1/4 inches in diameter. It has a copper body and a brass bezel, and its triangular Sestrel logo is easily recognizable. A rare example of this model dates to the early 1800s, and its unusual shape has earned it a high price.
